While at the WRAM show, I picked up a Multiplex fox, with hopes of converting it to an R/C glider. I also picked up two 3g servos from Lazer Toys (Great people and prices!!). I’m using an Airtronics RX60 receiver with the case removed, and a 1s 300mah lipo for power. The conversion was quick and pain free. AUW is 66g.
After flying it, I must say it’s a fun little glider. I didn’t get a chance to slope it, but it’s a lot of fun to side arm launch from the wingtip. I was getting about 30 second flights on average. With a little tuning I’m confident I could get 40 second flights in dead air. I hope to get out to a slope, and get some video soon.
Thanks for looking.
This Picsio is one of the best cameras I’ve used. Now if only my Everio would film in HD…

Well I haven’t forgot about this blog, I just haven’t had anything too interesting to post.
As the winter months come, and I start to build more, I’m sure I’ll have some interesting things to share again.
The Formosa Sloper is now done. It’s just waiting to go down to the shore with me tomorrow on vacation. I’ll maiden it while I’m there.
I’ve also got a video from yesterday. Flew alot.
Almost done. Need to set up linkages, and hinge the surfaces. As you can see the paint melted the canopy some. I’ll be ordering a new one soon, and paint that with actual foam safe paint, rather than spray paint (which I tested on a scrap piece, that didn’t melt…).
Might have a maiden tomorrow at a local lake.
